This past year has been personally challenging, but I am deeply thankful for God’s continued faithfulness. Our Danforth Community Campus has experienced encouraging growth, with average weekly attendance reaching 85 people this year. We are also thankful for Doriane Ossene and our Children’s Ministry volunteers, who faithfully invest in the next generation and help create a welcoming place for children and families. We are grateful for Pastor Kate and our Foodshare team, who continue to serve those in need in our community. Through this ministry, we have seen increased volunteer engagement and strengthened connections with our neighbours. At our third annual Dads Like Burgers BBQ, several people from the community joined us, many through relationships developed through Foodshare. In May 2026, we gave away hundreds of pairs of children’s shoes at a local public school during its annual Fun Fair for our Big Give event. This partnership continues to be a wonderful opportunity to build relationships and serve families in our community in a tangible way.
Our Care Ministry continues to support our church family through hospital and home visits when possible, as well as cards, emails, flowers, and Care Calls. These simple but meaningful expressions of compassion are an important part of how we walk alongside people during times of need.
We continue to offer Bible Study through our Davenport Campus. Our Wednesday morning gathering at 11:00 am, offered both in person and online, provides an opportunity for seniors and others available during the day to grow in God’s Word and enjoy community together. We also continue to offer our Wednesday evening Bible Study at 7:00pm online, providing another opportunity for people to study Scripture and grow together.
A heartfelt thank you to Pastor Alvin, who continues to faithfully lead our Tuesday morning prayer meeting. This group gathers weekly through Zoom and Stone By Phone to pray for the ministries, people, and needs of our church. To our pastoral staff, office administration, and dedicated volunteers, thank you for your faithfulness, hard work, and commitment to excellence. And to the Stone Church congregation, thank you for your continued commitment and prayerful support. None of this would be possible without you, and you are deeply appreciated.
