Candidates for Board of Directors

Angelo Ferrara​

Angelo Ferrara has followed Jesus since he was 12 years old and has served in many church capacities, including teaching, short-term missions, home groups, Alpha, and outreach. He holds a degree in business management and has spent much of his career in printing and advertising. Currently, Angelo serves at Stone’s Danforth Campus, leading the Alpha ministry. Married for over 40 years, he is a proud father of two children and grandfather of three. Angelo is excited to continue serving in the church and helping others grow in their faith.

Josh Charles

Joshua has been part of the Stone Church family since the merger with Danforth and has attended the Danforth Campus his entire life. He currently serves in Young Adults, Worship, and Children’s Ministry and can occasionally be seen hosting Sunday announcements. Joshua holds a degree in engineering and has also worked in the audio/visual industry. His love for the ministries he serves in continues to grow, along with his desire to contribute to the life of Stone Church. What Joshua loves most about serving Christ is the opportunity to care for his church community and help people feel loved and welcomed, following the example of Jesus.

Leslie Ann (L.A.) Walcott

Leslie Ann (L.A.) has been attending Stone Church since 1989, faithfully serving in a variety of ministries over the years. She started as a small group leader in the College & Careers ministry and later supported the choir directors while also singing in the worship team. L.A. has co-led Children’s Church and led a children’s choir. Currently, she serves as the Tech Director for Davenport and Co-Chair of the Missions Committee. She is honoured to be nominated again to continue serving as Board member.

Lisa Malliett

Lisa Malliett has followed Jesus since age 11. Raised Catholic, her questions about faith eventually led her to follow her mother to what is now Stone Church. Over the years, Lisa has served in many areas at the Danforth Campus, including Children’s Ministry, ushering, small groups, Christmas productions, and various technical roles. Born in Canada, Lisa spent much of her childhood in Jamaica with her grandparents before returning to Canada at age nine. She is currently in her 25th year working at a bank, where she provides adaptive equipment and technology to employees with disabilities across Canada. Lisa finds this work both challenging and fulfilling. Lisa looks forward to the opportunity to continue using her experience and gifts to serve Stone Church in this next season

Tessie Felix-Brown

Tessie Felix-Brown has been part of Stone Church for many years, where she also met her husband. Together, they have a daughter. She has served in many areas at the Davenport Campus, including worship, Children’s Ministry, welcoming newcomers, and special events. Tessie has a heart for caring for others, providing practical support to women and visiting seniors in long-term care. For the past 10 years, she has co-led the International Outreach Fellowship (IOF) Small Group and coordinates an annual women’s gathering. Professionally, Tessie worked in financial management and recovery for over three decades. She is passionate about encouraging women from all backgrounds and considers it a privilege to be considered for the Board.
